Online retailer SHOP.CA has announced results from its May launch with Aeroplan as its loyalty partner. Sales in the month increased more than seventimes over sales in May 2013.
According to the company, the increase in sales and significant allocation of Aeroplan Miles is largely attributed to Canadians' positive response to the new, ongoing Aeroplan Mile earn. This response was accelerated by a bonus offer on first purchase, which helped drive a doubling of the average order value (dollars per customer cart) spent by consumers at SHOP.CA. In addition, 56 percent of purchases in May 2014 were by repeat customers.
May growth was also strongly supported by SHOP.CA's efforts to expand and enhance their exclusive daily sales offerings. Top selling brands in the month included KitchenAid, Bench, Graco, Sony, Michael Kors, and Canon.
