Shopko e-commerce now more interactive

August 30, 2011

Shopko has announced an upgrade to its online shopping system; consumers visiting Shopko's website can now browse an engaging digital version of the current print advertising circular. Shopko partnered with PointRoll, a Gannett Company and leading provider of digital marketing technology, to provide its customers with the intuitive interface for a custom, localized shopping experience using their ShopLocal technology.

According to the company, the new interactive version of the weekly flyer adjusts to the user's location, allowing customers to create and print a personalized shopping list of items that are available at their local Shopko store. The design also allows customers to flip pages, simulating a print circular experience, and the option to purchase merchandise by adding to an online shopping cart directly from the interactive flyer.

"We know our customers depend on our newspaper advertising to keep up on all of the sales and promotions at Shopko. Now we have an easy, convenient, and improved way for them to access this information whenever and wherever they need it," said Jack Mullen, Shopko senior vice president of marketing. "Likewise, customers can sign up to have this advertising emailed to them every week so that they never miss another sale."
