Simon Mall Group getting ready to reopen dozens of properties

The biggest U.S. mall owner and operator, Simon Property Group, is getting ready to open dozens of malls across nearly a dozen states.

The news comes weeks after the company shuttered malls and venues in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which prompted most of retail across the nation to shut down.

The opening plans include security measures and personnel to remind shoppers and visitors to keep social distancing guidelines in mind and to avoid large groups from forming in the location, according to a New York Times report.
