Sleep Number launches Manhattan store

Sleep Number, a mattress and bedding retailer, has a new location in New York. The store is located in the Flatiron District in Manhattan.

The store, according to a press release, features a large digital map revealing how New York neighborhoods are sleeping — data gleaned from the retailer's sleep tracking and biometric technology called SleepIQ.

Customers can participate in an individual experience to identify sleeping pressure points and understand how the smart bed technology can help ease pressure points and take a three-minute immersive experience via 3D technology to better understand how the technology provides a higher quality sleeping experience.

"The Sleep Number store experience combines the latest in technology with the expertise of our sleep professionals, to deliver a value-added experience for our customers. For us, it's all about helping people find solutions for their best possible sleep," said Andy Carlin, chief sales and services officer, in the release.
