Soon-to-be-released SWAGG mobile gift card app adds Crocs

October 20, 2010

Mobile commerce enabler Firethorn Holdings LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Inc., has announced that casual footwear trendsetter Crocs Inc. is the latest retail partner for Firethorn's soon-to-be-released mobile application, SWAGG.

With more than 250 distinctive shoe styles, Crocs joins a growing list of merchants available through SWAGG in time for the 2010 holiday season, Firethorn says.

SWAGG is Firethorn's direct-to-consumer offering, with "smart" technology that gives consumers the ability to purchase, personalize and exchange gift cards directly from a mobile device. SWAGG will also provide consumers mobile access to account information, special offers and loyalty programs, and is expected to be available in time for the 2010 holiday season.

"The launch of SWAGG will transform the retail experience for both consumers and merchants," said Rocco Fabiano, president of Firethorn Holdings. "Our collaboration with Crocs reflects the brand's fun and vibrant personality while providing a simplified way for consumers to transact and interact from their mobile device."

"We are thrilled to work with SWAGG as it allows us to capitalize on the growing number of our consumers making purchases through their mobile devices," said Chris Ladd, vice president, global direct to consumer, Crocs Inc. "As our mobile presence grows, SWAGG will provide our customers with a simple interface that delivers a more friendly shopping experience."
