Southwest CEO: Holidays won’t be ruined this year

Southwest Airlines CEO Bob Jordan has declared there won't be a repeat of last year's operational crisis that impacted thousands of customers during the Christmas holiday rush, according to an AOL report.

"It will never happen again, I promise you that," Jordan told attendees at a Wings Club event which was confirmed by an airline spokesperson to CNN. Last year the airline cancelled over 16,000 flights and two million customers were left stranded during the Christmas break travel time.

The travel mayhem was kicked off by a major storm traveling across the country and the airline wasn't back to regular operations for many days while other airlines recovered much quicker.
