Southwest taking sharky approach to customer experience

In celebration of Shark Week, which kicked off July 23 and ends on July 29 this year, Southwest Airlines is offering special flight programming in a partnership with Discovery Channel, which produces Shark Week programs.

It's also running shark-related pop-up experiences at airports in New York, Dallas and Atlanta, according to a report at ThePointsGuy.

One of the pop-ups, at LaGuardia Airport in New York, featured Dr. Craig O'Connell offering facts about sharks and hosting a trivia game. Passengers got Shark Week hats for the flight.
