Startup Pei raises funding for retail bitcoin rewards platform

Pei, a fintech startup, has raised seed funding for its retailer card rewards program.

The platform allows users to earn automatic cashback on card purchases in the form of bitcoin or cash rewards, according to a press release.

Users can link their debit or credit cards to the Pei app to start earning cashback savings. Pei currently offers this service at more than 60,000 retailers, according to the release.

Pei plans to use this seed investment to start inviting its 211,000-person wait list to its platform and by hiring additional employees, according to the release.
