Supermarket puts nutritionists into the aisle

In a quest to provide better customer service and enhance the shopping experience, one supermarket is expanding its staff of nutritionists in store locations.

Giant Landover has hired on three more in-store nutritional experts for 2017, according to a Progressive Grocer report, bringing its total nutritionist roster to 10 across stores in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

The professionals provide insight and advice to shoppers on nutritional issues and choices and lead store tours and local classes regarding healthy eating and healthy food habits.
