The Age (Australia): Having everything under one roof has given shopping centers the edge as the destination of choice for a touch of retail therapy, a survey shows. But the love affair with the big suburban complexes, which house supermarkets, cinemas, the doctor's office and everything in between, has come at the expense of the local shopping strip. A survey of 800 people contacted via telephone and Internet found 75 percent of respondents said they preferred the shopping center over the local strip.
