Svpply, a social shopping site, today launched "We Want This!," a program that allows retailers to target the most relevant and influential members in the Svpply network, providing the top tastemakers with opportunities to receive exclusive discounts, according to a company press release.
Stores and brands can follow up on any relevant member's interests to offer them focused promotions and discounts. Plus, retailers can gain access to a new visual dashboard that provides them with an accurate snapshot of consumers' level of interest in their offerings and illuminate trends arising from their inventory.
During the last 18 months, Svpply has been building a community of some of the top tastemakers in the world, giving them a place to cultivate collections of the products they love. To date, members have clicked "Want" more than 5 million times, from more than 70,000 retailers.
"Every store out there right now is an island floating in the waters of SEO, hoping for a viral tow line. We think there's a lot to be said for joining everyone's rafts together and sharing the foot traffic. Retail districts are nothing new, of course. We've just never seen one built online," said Ben Pieratt, co-founder and CEO of Svpply. "The new dashboard will start with targeted discounts for the most relevant users, but we really see this as the first step toward helping our stores build online communities."
Svpply is launching this program in partnership with three of its member's favorite stores, Need Supply, Ghostly and LN-CC. Beta discounts from those stores will be given to 8,000 of their members.
