Swiss coffee company opens boutique in Macy's

Switzerland-basedNespresso has opened its first "Boutique-in-Shop" at the Macy's Dadeland Mall in Miami.

Nespresso pioneered the premium portioned coffee concept more than 25 years ago when it introduced its first single-serve Espresso machine to European consumers, according to a company press release. With state-of-the-art technology designed to create the perfect cup of coffee at a single touch of a button, and premium portioned Grand Cru coffees sourced from the top 1-2 percent of coffee beans across the globe, Nespresso quickly became the global reference within the sector for coffee quality, innovation and design. The launch of its first U.S. television advertising campaign signals the growth and popularity that Nespresso has experienced among American consumers since entering the U.S. market over ten years ago, with an increased demand for high-quality portioned coffee at home, Frederic Levy, president of Nespresso North America, said in the release.

"We look forward to expanding existing partner relationships and adding additional store locations this year to continue to offer unparalleled customer service and added convenience to our customers," he said.

The Nespresso Boutique-in-Shop will allow customers to purchase Nespresso's Espresso machines and Premium Portioned Grand Cru coffees. Nespresso coffee specialists will be on staff to offer demonstrations of the single-serve easy-to-use Nespresso machines as well as guide customers through each unique profile of the 16 Grands Crus.

Macy's Dadeland Mall is the third Nespresso location to open in the Miami area since 2010. Nespresso's flagship Boutique location at 1111 Lincoln Road offers consumers a coffee bar, the selection of 16 Grand Cru coffees and a wide menu of light bites for breakfast, lunch or early dinner. In addition to the flagship Boutique, Miami residents can also visit the Nespresso Boutique-in-Shop at the Sur La Table in the Adventura Mall. Both the Boutique-in-Shop and the flagship Boutique Bar have machines, capsules and coffee accessories available for purchase.
