Valora Group, a Switzerland-based convenience store chain, has introduced a kiosk that sells bitcoin at the company's k kiosk, Press & Books and avec stores, according to a press release.

The company has partnered with Smart2Coin, a bitcoin wallet, to allow customers to buy bitcoin at the current daily price.

Valora has offered bitcoin vouchers since April 2021, where funds loaded online had to be converted to bitcoin first.

The Start2Coin offers a plastic card with a memory chip costing CHF 29.90 ($30.34) and can be re-reused an unlimited number of times. Bitcoin worth up to CHF 1,000 ($1,014.79) can be loaded every 30 days per card, with a maximum of two transactions of CHF 500 ($507.39) each.

Start2Coin is backed by Sweepay AG, a financial intermediary based in Switzerland.

Valora is currently rolling out this service to around 950 k kiosk, Press & Books and avec sales outlets, excluding service stations, in Switzerland.

Customers need an NFC-enabled smartphone and an app from software developer Tangem. Bitcoin can be saved in the app via the wallet topped up at the sales outlet.
