Retail software provider Symphony EYC has announced Symphony EYC Click & Collect, a comprehensive offering that the company said provides flexible options for merchandise management across the order, fulfillment, collection and replenishment processes. The offering encompasses Symphony EYC's previously announced Drive Solo module, new options for store order preparation and pickup, as well as merchandise management options for both in-store and distribution center replenishment.
Slovenia's Mercator Group has taken advantage of the Symphony EYC Click & Collect offering to design a service that gives its 640,000 daily grocery customers access to its hypermarket assortment coupled with the convenience of timed collection and home delivery. Each order is centrally controlled and transferred to the appropriate hypermarket for customer fulfillment.
"With a large proportion of the Slovenian population living in out-of-town areas, Click & Collect offers hypermarket assortments to local shoppers including both grocery and general merchandise products. The next steps for this omnichannel service will be to allow shoppers to order items from their hypermarket and collect at their local convenience outlets," said Igor Maroša, senior vice president in charge of Mercator operations in Slovenia and Croatia. "With Symphony EYC we can identify buying behavior and ensure our supply chain operations respond to demand across all our stores, enabling us to offer shoppers more choice regardless of their geographical location."
According to the companies, Symphony EYC Click & Collect includes flexible modules for store pickup, as well as the retail system components that automate and optimize online ordering, product assortment and shelf replenishment to preparing orders for customers. Symphony EYC Click & Collect helps retailers identify customer behavior and orchestrate supply chain processes with the actual demand for in-store products, which enables them to offer an even broader portfolio of products to their customers.
