The Kansas City Star reported this morning that T-Mobile came out on top of a customer service showdown between the retail stores of the major wireless carriers in the United States: Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
The survey was conducted by Laptop magazine and judged each company's friendliness, knowledge and timeliness. According to the Star, the "magazine placed customer service calls twice during a week — once at mid-day and once during rush hour — visited two stores per carrier in New York City and tried to find solutions to problems using each carrier's online knowledge base."
T-Mobile won the showdown with an A grade, while Sprint and Verizon got Bs. AT&T earned a C+ because one "representative couldn't figure out how to get e-mail up and running on a BlackBerry."
