Tanger teams with Fillogic to enhance fulfillment, boost delivery services

Tanger Factory Outlets Centers is partnering with Fillogic, a logistics-as-a-service platform, to create tech-enabled micro distribution hubs to enhance fulfillment and drive a more convenient delivery and return process.

The first hub is up and running at the outlet center's Deer Park Center on Long Island, New York, according to a press release. It is providing same-day delivery, onsite return options and white glove home delivery.

The company expects the hub to be a model for other Tanger outlet locations going forward.

"We are continuously looking for opportunities to innovate and improve our customer service," Stephen Yalof, Tanger Outlets CEO, said in the release. "Our partnership with Fillogic allows us to take our fulfillment capabilities to the next level with even faster and more convenient delivery and return offerings. It will also allow us to further expand our strategic partnerships and tenant portfolio into categories such as furniture and hardgoods that benefit from on-site logistics, providing customers with prompt white glove home delivery."

The hub offers a variety of shipping services, including same-day delivery for local residents and one-stop shopping, allowing customers to drop online returns on-site. Traveling customers visiting from other areas can also ship their purchases home.

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. owns, or has an ownership interest in, a portfolio of 36 centers. Tanger's operating properties are located in 20 states and in Canada.
