Target stores will not be open this Thanksgiving due to the ongoing pandemic and the retailer's focus on making holiday shopping simple, safe and stress-free.
In a blog post Monday, CEO Brian Cornell wrote "this year more than ever, a joyful holiday will be inseparable from a safe one and we're continuing to adjust our plans to deliver ease, value and joy of the season in a way that only Target can."
The news comes fast on the heels of Walmart making its announcement it will not be open on the holiday.
Part of the greater 'ease' for shopper is the addition of 20,000-plus more products, including grocery items, available via Target's pickup and delivery services, according to the blog.
