Retailer Target is leaving its big office building presence in Minneapolis as part of its ongoing effort to develop a hybrid workplace strategy that will be a mix of at-home/remote work and in-office hours.
It's ending office work in its City Center building and the 3,500 workers will move to other offices while working remotely in a part-time fashion, according to a New York Times report. More than 25% of the company's corporate staff were working in the building.
"This change is driven by Target's longer-term headquarters environment that will include a hybrid model of remote and on-site work, allowing for flexibility and collaboration and ultimately, requiring less space," Target told the Times.
