Target hiring big time for holiday season

Target is busy hiring about 130,000 workers for the upcoming holiday retail season and aims to double the amount of staff handling online orders this year. The hiring represents a healthy increase from last year's 120,000 holiday hires, according to a CNBC report. A majority of those hired will work in stores, with about 8,000 placed in fulfillment center roles.

"It's critical we build the right team across our stores and supply chain to deliver an exceptional holiday experience for our guests during the busiest time of the year,” Melissa Kremer, chief human resources officer, said in a statement, according to the report.
