Target today unveiled its "Awesome Shop" subsite, a curated collection of products that all have a few things in common: They've all been pinned on Pinterest, and they all have a review of four stars or higher.
According to the company blog, the service was brought together in just a few weeks by its internal Rapid Accelerated Development team.
From the blog:
Once you visit the Awesome Shop page, you'll see a variety of Target.com products, all of which are top-pinned Target.com products on Pinterest in the last few days. Click on an item to see price and product information as well as reviews and the number of pins it's recently received. From there, you can link to Pinterest and pin the item yourself, or you can click on the "view details" bar to open it up at Target.com. Warning: It's kind of addictive, and you might make impulse purchases. Which is exactly the point.
