A Toronto shopping center is kicking off a new marketing and customer engagement effort and it's all about '"making" the day for consumers.

The Eglinton Square 80-store retail location is making April 9 and April 16 special days for customers with its #DayMade event, complete with free ice cream, flowers and mini massages for consumers shopping on the two days.

On April 9 there will be a live sing-along with international phenomenon Choir! Choir! Choir! music and on April 16 the Jesse Gold Trio performs.

"Our shopper has her hands full with family, career and home commitments," explained Darren Neely, marketing manager at Eglinton Square, in an announcement. "We want to be there to help make her day the best it can be. #DayMade is a celebration of all the little things in life that make us happy."

All proceeds from the event, including a Spin to Win for prizes, will go to Scarborough Art, a not-for-profit organization serving the Scarborough community.
