Trader Joe's, Publix take first place in customer satisfaction ranking

Trader Joe's and Publix tied for first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index of most popular U.S. supermarket chains.

Trader Joe's and Publix earned an overall satisfaction score of 84 out of 100, according to the report.

Competitors Wegmans earned a score of 83, Sam's Club (83), Whole Foods (82) and H-E-B (82).

Costco was the top supermarket among consumers in 2024 but fell by 5% for a score of 81 this year. BJ's, in 2025, scored 77 points, compared to 82 points in 2024.
