Vending innovation: Play the guitar for beer

A New Zealand brewery, Panhead Custom Ales in Wellington, has introduced a vending machine that is operated by a person playing an attached electric guitar. Guests can purchase the company's custom ales by playing the guitar, according to a report in Little Black Book, an advertising industry newsletter.

The "Slay to Pay" machines uses AI-enabled "audio fingerprinting" to rate the user's guitar playing skills in real time, then dispenses beer from the machine's beer tap.
