Walmart mulling PillPack delivery service acquisition, claim reports

In yet another move to expand way beyond typical retailing Walmart is reportedly mulling the acquisition of medication delivery player PillPack.

Discussion on the purchase, estimated by CNBC as under $1 billion, have been going on for months, according to TechCrunch.

Amazon was reportedly also courting PillPack, according to TechCrunch.

The news comes as big retailers such as Walmart, Amazon and Target are striving to offer as many consumer services and features in the increasingly competitive retail space and arrives on the heels of news that Walmart is striving to acquire healthcare provider Humana.
