Shoppers on walmart.com can now pay cash for online purchases, making the discount chain the first major retailer to offer online purchasing to the unbanked. The retail giant announced Thursday that customers can buy products online but then actually pay cash for them at each of its 3,800 U.S. stores, according to the Associated Press. After placing their orders online, shoppers then have 48 hours to take the printed order confirmation to the cash register at a Wal-Mart store. After payment is received, shoppers may have the items shipped to a store for free or to another address for a fee.
