Walmart's technology innovation lab, called Store No 8, is buying a virtual reality startup to develop VR products for the omnichannel retailer's website and store locations.
The two companies are no strangers to each other, according to a Reuters report, as the VR startup, Spatialand, worked with Store No 8 on a VR software platform in 2017.
Katie Finnegan, principal at Store No 8, will serve as interim CEO of the new VR entity, according to Reuters, and the financial terms have not been released.
