Wegmans, Publix are tops with grocery shoppers, reveals study

Shoppers' favorite grocery stores in the U.S. are Publix and Wegmans, which landed in a first-place tie in a new Market Force study.

The poll of 12,700 shoppers revealed Trader Joe's is a very close second and H-E-B is third.

It's the second year Wegmans has landed in the top spot after knocking out Trader Joe's last year.

The study also polled consumers on home meal kit services. Blue Apron, HelloFresh and Home Chef took the top three spots, respectively. Yet 76 percent of consumers who have tried such a service stopped using it citing poor value, portion size and prep time.
