Whole Foods Markets has developed a 2.0 version of its 365 store concept and opening the first location in Texas.
The quest is to provide even more economical shopping for consumers, according to a Supermarket News report, which states the new store, which is the fourth 365 store, will open in Cedar Park in Austin.
The report notes Whole Foods Markets CEO John Mackey as describing the new 365 concept and its latest iteration as a mixed bag of results, given some stores are doing well and others not as well.
"When we open our fourth store, it's going to be kind of 365 2.0," Mackey told Supermarket News.
