Whole Foods, Duane Reade popular with Apple Pay users

When it comes to where Apple Pay credit card transactions are happening most, retailers Duane Reade and Whole Foods are first and second place respectively, according to a new TXN data analysis insight.

Canteen Vending, Peet's Coffee & Tea and Firehouse Subs fall in line behind Whole Foods. Surprisingly, Starbucks falls last on the list of the top 13, according to a Business Insider report.

While the total number of monthly Apple Pay transactions grew by 50 percent, compared to a year ago, the study notes Apple Pay holds just a small percentage of credit card transactions.
