7-Eleven on the hunt for innovative products to meet customer expectations

7-Eleven will host its second annual emerging brands event in late October in a quest to find the most innovative products for its customer base. The Brands with Heart event will be held at the brand's Store Support Center in Irving, Texas, Oct. 22-23.

The goal is to find the best new products to improve the overall customer experience, according to a press release.

"At 7-Eleven we are customer-obsessed and part of that is identifying and sourcing new and innovative products and services for our customer," said 7-Eleven President and CEO Joe DePinto in an email to Retail Customer Experience. "Throughout our history, 7-Eleven's success has been built on innovation."

This year 65 emerging brands will be invited to make their case about why they deserve a spot on 7-Eleven store shelves. Last year's event drew hundreds of applicants and 70 were chosen to participate, according to the release.
