AI may one day be the modern bank teller

April 5, 2017

A new Accenture survey reveals four in five bankers believe artificial intelligence will be the prime channel for customer interaction by the year 2020.

The technology, according to a New York Post report, will "revolutionize" how banks get data and how banks interaction with customers. The Accenture Banking Technology Vision 2017 report surveyed more than 600 top bankers as well as tech experts and academics.

"The big paradox here is that people think technology will lead to banking becoming more and more automated and less and less personalized, but what we've seen coming through here is the view that technology will actually help banking become a lot more personalized," Alan McIntyre, head of the Accenture's banking practice and co-author of the report, told the Post.
