Two Whole Foods Market stores in Dallas are the first in the state to utilize Amazon One, Amazon's palm recognition payment technology.
The stores are The Highland Village and Irving locations. They are the first of 16 Dallas-Forth Worth stores that will feature the Amazon payment option, according to an announcement from Amazon.
The Amazon One option lets customers who have enrolled their palm print with the service and linked a credit or debit card shop without having to use a checkout counter or point of sale.
Amazon One is planned to be added to Whole Foods Market stores at Richardson, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Bellingham, Colleyville, University Place, Arlington, Highland Park and Fairview. It is currently available at select Amazon Go, Amazon Fresh and Amazon Style Store locations as well as Whole Foods Market locations in Seattle, Austin, New York and over 65 California stores.
Customer can also use Amazon One at Hudson Nonstop Stores at Dallas Love Field, Dallas Fort Worth and Nashville airports. It's also available at concession stores at multiple stadiums and venues including Climate Pledge Arena (Seattle), Lumen Field (home of the Seattle Seahawks), T Mobile Park (home of Seattle Mariners) and Kyle Field (Texas A&M).
