Amazon offers free Prime to town as film award celebration

Those living in Manchester, Massachusetts who don't have a Amazon Prime membership will be getting a free one very soon.

That's because Amazon is celebrating its Academy award-winning movie Manchester by the Sea by doling out the free one-year membership as well as some popcorn.

"Oscar-winningManchesterby the Sea is coming to Prime Video onMay 5, and we wanted customers in the town to enjoy popcorn and a movie on us,"Greg Hart, vice president of Amazon Video worldwide, said in a press release.
