Amazon testing a humanoid robot for warehouse operations

Amazon is testing Digit, a bipedal robot built by Agility Robotics, in a collaborative work environment in its warehouses.

Amazon is an investor in Agility Robotics, according to a Business Insider report posted on AOL.

It's the latest robotic strategy for the mega omnichannel retailers as Amazon has had robots in warehouses for several years though none have been in the form of a humanoid robot. As of 2017 there were 45,000 robots working across nearly two dozen fulfillment centers, according to the BI report.
