Athlete’s Food intros neighborhood concept store

The Athlete's Food has opened its neighborhood concept store at Atlantic Station in midtown Atlanta.

The specialty footwear and lifestyle retailer celebrated the launch in late April with a two-day event focused on community, according to a press release.

It also announced brand partnerships with several streetwear brands including Polo Sports and Guflyfe.

"We are thrilled to open our first neighborhood store in our hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, the heart of the South's streetwear and sneaker culture. Our new store concept will pay tribute to the city's character and our deep southern roots while showcasing local brands and designers and will serve as a hub for community-based events and philanthropic initiatives," Matt Lafone, president and GM of Americas, TAF, said in the release.

The Athlete's Foot sneaker and streetwear chain has 550 stores and e-commerce shops in 30-plus countries.
