Atlanta Braves' ballpark hits a home run with 360-degree curved display

NanoLumens recently installed a 7-foot tall by 69-foot long curved Nixel Series LED display at the Atlanta Braves' new ballpark. The display was wrapped around a metal baseball suspended over a water fountain at The Battery Atlanta, a location outside of the SunTrust Park, according to a press release.

The display is build of hundreds of small flexible LED panels called Nixels that can be built to fit around any shape. The display is position 40 feet over the water fountain and offers 7,000 nits of brightness. The display is also designed with a 9.5-mm pixel pitch and weighs under 5,000 pounds.

The display's content software splits it into four sections that can each display a 16:9 ratio video feed. The display is also designed with light sensors to adjust brightness automatically, according to the release.
