New York Yankees pitcher Dwight Gooden was on site today to help AT&T celebrate the grand opening of its largest and newest store in New York.
"The Queens Center Mall store expansion augments our growing portfolio of bilingual retail locations in the metro NY area," Tom DeVito, vice president and general manager for AT&T in New York and New Jersey, said in a company press release. "Customers can 'try before they buy' the most advanced devices and get assistance in their language of choice."
The store is led by industry veteran Pablo Maldonado and has a team of 27 sales consultants; 23 sales consultants are bilingual in Spanish and all are trained to assist customers — both business and consumer — with purchasing decisions, customer service and technical support.
The Queens Center Mall store brings the number of AT&T-owned stores in Queens to 10. There are more than 60 AT&T owned stores in the five boroughs. Across metropolitan New York and northern New Jersey, there are more than 135 AT&T owned stores. AT&T's products and services are also available at a number of local authorized dealers and national retail locations.
