BJ's Wholesale Club has opened its first store in Kentucky and it marks the company's 250th store.
The store is located in Louisville, near the Jefferson mall and features a gas station, according to a press release.
BJ's is partnering with Louisville's local food bank, Dare to Care, with plans to donate unsold meat, dairy, and produce every week.
"We're excited to collaborate with BJ's Wholesale Club as a new community partner in Louisville," Dare to Care President Vincent James said in the release. "This partnership will help deepen our mission of providing pathways to end hunger in our community."
BJ's has locations in 20 states, including Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. The new store will bring that to 21 states.
In January BJ's opened a location in North Jacksonville, Florida.
