Audio equipment maker Bose is closing 119 store locations across Europe, Japan, North America and Australia, closures it claims reflect the change in how consumers are shopping.
More Bose shoppers are going online, according to a CNET report.
"Originally, our retail stores gave people a way to experience, test and talk to us about multi-component, CD and DVD-based home entertainment systems," Colette Burke, Bose's vice president of global sales, said in a statement, according to CNET. "At the time, it was a radical idea, but we focused on what our customers needed and where they needed it — and we're doing the same thing now."
The retailer will continue to operate 130 Bose stores.
