Boulder County, Colorado installs vehicle registration kiosk

Sept. 15, 2017

Residents of Boulder County, Colorado can now renew motor vehicles registration at a self-service kiosk in the lobby of the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder's Boulder headquarters office, according to the Times-Call.

The kiosk is available from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Boulder County is one of 16 Colorado counties to install the kiosks this year. Residents can type in their license plate number, follow the instructions on the touchscreen and renew their plates. The kiosk collects all taxes and fees, and accepts cash, checks, credit and debit cards.

The kiosk provides two receipts, along with the vehicle registration and plate tab. The kiosk is expected to reduce wait time and give the office staff more time to assist customers with more complex title and registration transactions.
