Burberry taps Apple for AR fashion app effort

Luxury fashion retailer Burberry is boosting its smartphone app with some Apple augmented reality technology.

The quest is all about gaining greater share of "digitally influenced" purchases, according to a Bloomberg report, and engaging with consumers.

Burberry is using Apple's ARKit function to "digitally redecorate" users' camera feeds with Burberry-infused artistic renderings, according to Bloomberg.
