Carters launching concept store in Michigan

Children's apparel retailer Carters plans to launch a concept store in The Village Of Rochester Hills in Rochester Hills, Mich., by year's end. The Village of Rochester Hills is a Detroit-based outdoor lifestyle shopping and dining destination.

The concept store will feature a curated selection of offerings across Carter's family of brands, according to a press announcement from The Village of Rochester Hills. The store will feature a a toddler-tested playhouse and a kid friendly interactive zone.

"Carter's is such a natural fit for the Village of Rochester Hills and for the families who visit us every day," Margaux Keusch, senior director of leasing at the Village of Rochester Hills, said in the announcement. "We're always looking for retailers that complement our existing tenant mix while bringing something new and valuable to our guests, and Carter's does exactly that."

Carter's, Inc. brands are Carter's and OshKosh B'gosh, and are sold through more than 1,000 company-operated stores in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and online.

The Village of Rochester Hills, developed in 2002, is co-anchored by Whole Foods and Von Maur.
