Chinese consumers to get more options with Samsung Pay, Alipay deal

Samsung Electronics has announced an agreement with Alibaba in China that will enable Samsung Pay users in the country to make payments directly from their Alipay accounts without the need of using a separate app for such transactions.

Alipay, which is the payments arm of Alibaba, has some 450 million active registered users.

Samsung Pay came to China in March, a month after Apple launched Apple Pay.
