Comcast recently held the grand opening for its interactive Xfinity Service Center in Houston, with self-service kiosks serving as integral features of the overall customer experience.
At 6,500 square feet, the new service center is Comcast's largest in the country, the company said in a news release. Within the space is a trove of interactive technology that enables customers to explore the latest products and services.
Kiosks around the center provide customers the opportunity to experience Xfinity TV, test drive Internet speeds and try out the next generation of Xfinity Home, with iPad stations also offering a look at popular Xfinity apps.
In an effort to boost its time-saving offerings, Comcast said the store includes a self-service kiosk for bill-payment and a queue system that allows customers the opportunity to explore and be entertained instead of waiting in line for service.
"We're proud to provide our customers with a place where they can experience our Xfinity products and services firsthand and check out the latest technology in an interactive environment," said Ralph Martinez, Comcast senior vice president of the Houston Region. "This new model has a more welcoming design, and most important a new attitude as we apply the same mindset of innovation, speed and utility that our customers love about our products to our customer service."
