Costco expands delivery options

Costco is now offering same-day and two-day delivery via a new internal program and a partnership with Instacart.

The delivery expansion comes on the heels of retailers, including Best Yet, striving to get goods into the hands of the consumer in just hours.

The two-day delivery, called CostcoGrocery, is for nonperishable food. The one-day delivery, provided by Instacart, includes fresh and dry items, according to a Fortune report.

Costco also intends to lower prices in the wake of Amazon lowering prices on products sold through its recently acquired Whole Foods supermarket brand.
