Missing those yummy snack bites while shopping at Costco?
Well, the wholesaler is bringing samplers back to work after shutting the customer service offering down at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic a few months back. But it will very likely be in a different stratgy approach given health and safety rules in place due to the coronavirus.
The stores will also slowly get back to serving in items in their food court, according to a KIRO7 report. The courts were also shut down in late March.
"We're going to start doing some things in mid-June on a slow rollout basis in sampling," Costco CFO Richard Galanti said, according to the news report. "I can't tell you anymore, but … needless to say, it's not going to be where you go and just pick up an open sample with your fingers. But sampling – food and nonfood items – are popular."
