The goal is to engage young shoppers in merchandising to ensure its Junior department is hip.

Clothing retailer Macy’s is striving to drive young fashionistas, and other millennial shoppers, into its merchandising efforts by running a T-shirt design contest with top prize being an ultimate shopping spree.
"We're enlisting your style input to help our partner Macy's fill its Juniors department with the coolest clothes. All you have to do is vote on the tee you want to see. That's right — you're calling the shots on this one," stated an announcement on the marketing strategy.
Shoppers are encouraged to visit the "You vote, we create, you wear" sweepstakes page and vote on which Rebellious One tee is their favorite. The shirt getting the most votes will then be on a Macy’s shelf later this year.
Those participating have a chance at being one of the selected 10 to get a free tee and there will be a grand prize winner who’ll get a tee and a $500 shopping pass. The program is a collaboration between Macy’s and Seventeenmagazine.
Voting is open through July 29.
