Criminal gang stole millions from Home Depot over several years

Police are charging nine members of a criminal group that stole at least $10 million in goods from Home Depot over the past several years.

It is the biggest case of theft at Home Depot in the U.S., according to a New York Times report.

The criminal group did more than 600 thefts at the home improvement brand's store in Southern California in the first six months of the year.

"This wasn't shoplifting. It was a criminal enterprise that allegedly stole millions of dollars, and it was finally stopped here," Ventura County District Attorney Erik Nasarenko told the news outlet.
