DICK'S Sporting Goods named 'Shipper Partner of the Year'

Manhattan Associates announced this week that DICK'S Sporting Goods has been voted recipient of the annual "Shipper Partner of the Year" award.

Manhattan Associates announced this week that DICK'S Sporting Goods has been voted recipient of the annual "Shipper Partner of the Year" award. Carriers from across the United States voted on a variety of factors related to the performance and efficiency of the shipper, based on nominations from customers of Manhattan's Transportation Management Solution, according to a release.

"DICK'S Sporting Goods is honored to be voted Shipper Partner of the Year by the carrier community and Manhattan Associates," George Giacobbe, senior vice president of supply chain, DICK'S Sporting Goods, said in a statement. "As our Company grows, we continue to leverage innovative logistics solutions and partnerships among industry leaders. The Transportation Management System provides the tools necessary to manage the complex supply chain and ultimately support our goal of exceeding each customer's expectations."

DICK'S was selected out of 36 finalists, including top-tier retailers, grocers, manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers.
