Discover Card leads JD Power customer satisfaction survey

Discover Card is tops on the 2019 J.D. Power survey for customer satisfaction for the fifth time in the last six years. 

"Year in and year out, our hardworking employees deliver the best cardmember experience possible because we keep our focus on customers, so this latest recognition from J.D. Power serves as an honor to us all and a reminder that our work must continue," Roger Hochschiild, CEO of Discover Financial Services, said in a press release. 

Discover said it got a score of 842 out of a possible 1,000 in the 2019 J.D. Power U.S. Credit Card satisfaction survey, which asks questions of 22,000 cardholders in the U.S. Discover said the company had a six point increase from 2018 and is 36 points above the industry average. 

Discover said its credit card mobile app was ranked the highest in a previously released J.D. Power survey earlier this year.
